I am a political communication researcher in the School of Politics and International Studies. I have mainly worked on matters of media and democracy, including journalism and political talk, as well as on open scholarship and meta-research in the social sciences. To answer questions in these areas, I have worked with computer scientists to develop new computational text-as-data methods and used various social-science methods. For data collection I have employed content analysis and survey methods; for data analysis I have used and continue to be interested in longitudinal data analysis (e.g., panel analysis and latent growth modelling)multilevel modellingmultiverse analysis, and ways of making social research more transparent and reproducible (e.g., literate programming, transparent project documentation).
