Cassie Kill is an interdisciplinary social researcher, with expertise in ethnography, participatory research, creative and arts-based methods, as well as more traditional qualitative approaches such as interviews and focus groups. In particular, she is interested in the relational ethics of research and how social theory – including affect theory and posthumanism – can inform less harmful and extractive ways of conceptualising and going about knowledge production with (rather than about) communities. Her research has spanned education, media and communication studies, and sociology and has often involved young people.
