Steering Group
The Steering Group will be co-chaired by the two Directors of the Centre – and will oversee and support the work of the Centre. The Centre will report annually to the Faculty of Social Sciences Research and Innovation Committee.
The general terms of reference of the Steering Group are listed below.
- To advise, guide and support the plans of the Centre, including its strategic objectives, events and activity profile and approaches to communication;
- To identify and discuss strategic opportunities, interdisciplinary collaborations and pan-university alliances to advance the work and reputation of the Centre;
- To advocate on behalf of the Centre across the Faculty and the wider University, promoting its role, plans and activities;
- To raise awareness of the resources, capacities and expertise of the Centre to support research and innovation;
- To support the role of the Centre in nurturing an open, inclusive and positive research culture across the Faculty and the wider University;
- To review the resources, capacities and facilities available to the Centre to enable it to deliver on its strategic objectives.
The Steering Group will meet three times per year, indicatively September, January and April.
